In 2015, whilst completing my training, I entered the F.Hinds High Street by Design competition. I was thrilled to win the Student Category Award for my Seachange collection and to win a runner-up award for Core. This was a very proud moment, enabling me to experience the thrill of seeing my pieces on sale! This is my Seachange submission.
Celebrating Women - through different times, impossible situations, break-through moments and achievements.
A manacle with ‘charms’ – each representing a piece of history. Taking a traditional keepsake piece and imbuing meaning. This is my Silver award winning piece in the Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council Awards 2018, 2D Fashion Jewellery.
I believe entering competitions is important for any aspiring creative - a solid deadline, working to a brief and competing against many others pushes you…and winning is phenomenal!
