Hello, I am Sally Costen, The Clerkenwell Jeweller.

The Clerkenwell Jeweller is named after this vibrant, creative area of London where I love to live. Clerkenwell has a rich heritage in jewellery, silversmithing and the arts, rubbing shoulders with the Goldsmiths Centre and Hatton Garden, the London epicentre of fine jewellery production. Every piece of my jewellery is made by hand, here in Clerkenwell.

The collections featured reflect my love of pattern and graphics, they interact and connect, telling an engaging story reflecting my inspiration. As a graphic designer and lover of fashion, I watch, wear and interpret. This is critical to designing pieces that resonate. It is an invigorating process that often leads to the unexpected and the uncommon.

About me

In my years as a graphic designer, I have been both a design agency owner and a creator of award-winning work. This experience has led me to follow my passion and re-train as a jeweller and has informed my approach to jewellery design. Studying at the London Jewellery School, I learned from tutors who were inspirational, motivating and demanding!

I have evolved and refined my collections to reflect my history, my loves, my values.

Ethics

From gemstones to small components I aim to use sustainable materials and trusted suppliers. I investigate provenance and use recycled materials where possible, without compromise in quality, value or finish.
